Operations Associate

POSITION DETAILS:

 

Job Location:  Waterloo

Position Status:  Existing Position 

Compensation Range:  $ 48,000.00 to $53,000.00 range per year.

THE IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As an Operations Associate at NDI, you’ll play a hands-on role in assembling and packaging our optical products. Your work will help ensure products are built accurately, consistently, and in accordance with established quality requirements. This role is based in a production environment and involves detailed assembly work with small components. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and likes being part of a collaborative team focused on continuous improvement.

HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Prepare materials and components needed for production and assembly.
  • Assemble and package optical products and components according to documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Complete detailed assembly work with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and product quality.
  • Check assemblies and sub-assemblies against applicable quality requirements and identify concerns when they arise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities that support an efficient production environment.
  • Support other Operations activities and projects as needed.
  • Support compliance by adhering to applicable regulatory and quality standards and established quality-system requirements.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to safely handle small components.
  • Ability to accurately follow detailed procedures and work instructions.
  • Post-secondary education in electronics or a related technical discipline is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, assembly, or technician role is an asset.
  • Experience working in an ISO 13485 or other quality-controlled environment is an asset.
